I thought Obesity is the condition of being fat or being overweight, but I was wrong. Obesity is the condition of having too much body fat which is inappropriate for your height, way much different from weighing too much. Though, both means that it is not healthy to have excess in the body. As you read along, here are some questions (symptoms) you can ask yourself that you may not be aware of.
#1. DO I NEED A LARGER SIZE?
Better look at at the mirror! Your clothes may be tight and better check if you need a larger size.
#2. DID I JUST GAIN WEIGHT?
An increase in weight could be seen in the scale, but remember being fat doesn’t mean your already obese. Obesity is having excess fat in your body.
#3. SHOULD I CHECK MY WAIST?
Check your waist and see if your developing excess fat in your body.
#4. DOES ALCOHOL RELEASE MY STRESS?
Once you drink alcoholic drinks, your body is also looking for food, especially the fatty and oily foods that will complement what you are drinking. Thus, the more you drink, the more food you intake.
#5. DID I JUST CHANGE MY ORAL HABIT?
It’s good if you stopped smoking, but if changing it to excessive eating to release the stress you have, better if you don’t. Prefer not trying to smoke to lessen the burden for your health.
#6. WHY CAN’T I BREATHE?
The pressure on the lungs is caused by the excess fat you have in your body. It causes difficulty and shortness in breathing.
#7. AM I HOT?
People with excessive weight are prone to sweating due to the fact that they have low body surface area, and can not eliminate body heat efficiently.
#8. AM I TOO LOUD?
The excess fat you have that causes your difficulty in breathing may as well interfere with your sleep. Sleep apnea or the pauses of breathing while you’re asleep may occur and worst may lead to heart attack and stroke.
#9. WHY AM I ALWAYS TIRED?
Once you’re over weight, you usually have low endurance. You easily get tired from doing simple works and prefer to sleep or rest despite the things you wanted to do.
#10. IS MY LOWER BACK IS ACHING?
Too much weight yo have can cause back pains. Due to the pressure your body is experiencing, obese patients are also at risk in developing fracture in the vertebrae.
