Biggest pearl known to man!
In Puerto Princesa, on Palawan Island, Philippines, a local fisherman found the biggest pearl known to man. It said to be 26.4 inches long, 12 inches wide, and weighs 75 pounds.
The pearl was discovered by a fisherman, and has kept the pearl hidden in his home for more than 10 years. According to a local news in Palawan, the fisherman found it while out fishing. The man unaware of the value of the pearl kept it under his bed for a good luck charm.
The pearl was then only discovered again when the fisherman’s house caught on fire and needed to move. He entrusted it to a family member who works in local government as a tourism officer. With his permission, the pearl is now being displayed at New Green City Hall in Puerto Princesa.
Once the pearl have been authenticated, it said to be worth more than 100 million dollars. Also, it would break the current record, called the Pearl of Lao Tzu. Which was discovered in 1939 by a local diver. It said to weigh 14 pounds (6.4 kg), worth 35 million dollars, also discovered in Palawan, Philippines.
